Future Study

Wànxiàng

Wànxiàng proposes a modular formal surface that can be dismantled, rebuilt, and reconfigured. Interlocking color would introduce childhood systems into formalwear without fixing one arrangement as final. The work remains conceptual.

Conceptual direction; physical construction has not begun.

Conceptual only. A future first study may compare small removable plates joined to a flexible textile grid.

Retention, edge clearance, sound, and flex remain hypothetical until a physical study exists.

Physical presence

No physical module, retention, or flex test is currently verified.

Decision record

No physical failure record exists. The unresolved question is how modular pieces might bend and reconfigure without shedding from the garment.

Handling and care

No physical object currently exists to preserve.
