MATERIAL, SILHOUETTE AND PRESENCE

Material changes the silhouette.

Candy makes black formalwear loud, weighted, and bright. Flowers erase tailoring beneath bloom. Raised paint turns a white suit into moving relief. The material does not sit on the garment; it changes how the garment occupies a room.

Distance establishes the image. Proximity reveals the hand.

SURFACE FROM DISTANCE TO DETAIL

The surface changes as distance closes.

Wrapped sweets, hard-set brooches, crowded bloom, and thousands of raised marks. These are the actual garments and construction photographs, kept close enough to show the handwork.

The work is made for a body.

Weight, volume, reflection, sound, and relief change when a work is worn. Mario builds from sourced formalwear, adjusting placement and support so each surface can keep its visual force in motion. Practical handling and care remain part of the finished record.

Five works are physically underway.

A royal-blue suit is gathering brooches and gemstones. Partial studies explore LEDs, heart emblems, stored light, and artificial pastry forms. Each work is described only at its verified physical stage.
